My keyboard is blo
Bug description
Since 2 or 3 months, I loose sometimes my keyboard. I cannot write anything in any program. I have to restart Xorg to repair the keyboard. This bug is really annoying!
I don't know the origin of the bug, nor how to reproduce it. But when the keyboard stops working, I noticied that gajim behaves already differently:
- right click doesn't work anymore
- menus (Actions | Edit | ...) doesn't work anymore: a click highlight the main menu entry (eg. Action) but not submenu is displayed!?
I don't know more because I never started gajim in a terminal. But now I will try to always use "gajim --verbose 2>&1|tee logs".
Can it be related to a network connection problem? I mean that the connection with the Jabber server is maybe broken (lost connection, or lost network packets?).
When the keyboard stops working, top program doesn't show anything special. Xorg log doesn't contain anything special. I suppose that gajim grabs the keyboard and then hangs somewhere. But gajim is not completly stuck: it's still possible to open a window (double click on a contact to open a discussion window). It's maybe possible to send messages, but without a keyboard it's not easy to test...
I have this problem since 2 or 3 months, but only today I realized that the problem may come from gajim (because of the strange gajim behaviour).
Steps to reproduce
I have no idea how to reproduce it. It looks to be random. I takes between 2 hours to 7 days to reproduce it.
How can I try to reproduce it? Anyway, I will try to always run gajim in a terminal with --verbose.
