Libsoup2 symbols detected when trying to call
Please first check if another issue has been opened for your problem
Versions
- OS: Arch Linux (kernel: 6.0.7-arch1-1)
- Gajim version: 1.5.3
- GTK version: 1:3.24.34+r156+g812b3930d0-1 (from arch repo)
- Python-nbxmpp version: 3.2.5.r0.g6f31072-1 (from AUR)
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Open Gajim
- Pick someone you want to speak to through voice chat, or video call
- Attempt to video call
Expected behavior
The video call will open and the peer will receive a notification that they are being called.
Actual behavior
Gajim freezes for approximately 2 seconds, and then shutdowns with the following error:
(org.gajim.Gajim:21702): libsoup-ERROR **: 23:50:35.283: libsoup2 symbols detected. Using libsoup2 and libsoup3 in the same process is not supported.
zsh: trace trap (core dumped) gajim
This issue is similar to an issue which was raised recently see #11183 (closed) which was "patched" and the issue was closed.
This issue was also experienced on arch linux, but using gajim-git on the aur, this was patched and I believe the patch has reached the arch mirrors now.
However, voice and video calls are still not working, and still attempts to use libsoup2.
