Please explain raised dependency versions for Pango and PyGObject

With commit ca38dd5e the dependency on Pango was raised to 1.50.0, but why exactly? So why is e.g. 1.48.x, as shipped by CentOS Stream 9, not suitable? I was not able to find any specific reason in the commits.

With commit 37584e22 the dependency on PyGObject was raised to 3.42.0, but why exactly? I noticed with #11132 (closed), that 3.38.0 was too old, but why is e.g. 3.40.x, as shipped by CentOS Stream 9, not suitable? I was not able to find any specific reason in the commits.

I understand that developers prefer latest versions for different reasons, but to support downstream packaging of Gajim, the dependency on versions shouldn't be unnecessarily high, but only when technically needed.
