Cannot have an empty workspace without closing its most recent chat
Versions
- OS: Debian testing
- Gajim version: 1.4.5
- GTK version: 3.24.34
- Python-nbxmpp version: 3.1.0
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Assume there is one workspace configured and it has at least one chat (contact?) associated.
- Start Gajim.
- Open a chat in the workspace.
- Try to close the chat, so that the “Start Chatting…” button is visible again, without disassociating it from the workspace and without leaving the workspace.
Expected behavior
I can do it. It is something like Alt+Home in Thunderbird: you can always go back to the welcome page, but still have the last message one click away.
In Gajim 1.3 it was possible to close the chat window/tab or switch to the main window/tab.
Actual behavior
I cannot do it.
In Gajim 1.4 I can go to the account’s contact list, thus leaving the workspace. I do not like switching between the two since I mostly use a single account and a single workspace (and the latter is where I do my chatting).
