Local Account (Avahi/zeroconf) Greyed out, Permanently Disabled, Ubuntu 18.04 Gajim 1.0.2 (Now Windows)
Fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 and Gajim
Versions
- OS: Ubuntu 18.04
- Gajim version: 1.0.1
- GTK version: 3.22.30
- PyGObject version: 3.26.1
- Python-nbxmpp version: 0.6.4
Steps to reproduce the problem
- sudo apt-get install gajim intltool python-setuptools python-avahi python-zeroconf (apt seems to have grabbed any other dependencies)
- from the Menu you goto: Gajim / Accounts
- on the accounts page "Local" option is off and greyed out
- rebooting pc does not fix it, hovering over or clicking on the greyed out feature provides no feedback as to why its permanently disabled.
Expected behavior
I believe I have all the required dependencies, so I should be able to enable the Local account. I had this working under Ubuntu 16 with an older version of Gajim.
Actual behavior
The option is greyed out and cannot be enabled, and my attempts to google a solution have failed, I attempted to install python-avahi and python-zeroconf, avahi was already installed, installing zeroconf made no difference either.
Any help is greatly appreciate, I realize the issue could be a change in either Ubuntu or Gajim, since I upgraded both at the same time, I am just not sure what to check next, thank you.
