Can’t detect gpg2 keys
Steps to reproduce
- Create a PGP key in Seahorse 3.18 GUI or using gpg2 directly
- Open Gajim: Accounts: Personal: OpenPGP
Expected: List to include my gpg2 key.
Actual: No pgp keys found.
Work-around: Convert key from gpg2 to gpg. Though all other software on my system that uses PGP keys (except gajim and git) now default to gpg2.
OS version: Fedora 23
GTK version: 2.24.29
PyGTK version: 2.24.0
Could you try the attached patch and tell me if it fixes your issue?
The attached patch does indeed fix my issue. Thank you.
Hello I face the same problem, Gajim only sees a previous PGP key, which I revoked but that is still in Seahorse. My new PGP key, also in Seahorse, is not detected by Gajim.
I tried with your patch. But it does not work ; I have to precise I use a different OS (Ubuntu 16.04), and, last but not least, I did not know where to put it. I tried in two gajim directories, /home/ubuntu/.local/share/gajim and /home/ubuntu/.config/gajim, which does not seem to be the right thing to do.
Could you please help me on that ?
can you please state your Gajim version
Sure : it's a Gajim 0.16.5 (working with GTK+ 2.24.30 and PyGTK 2.24.0).
could you update to Gajim 0.16.6, because the commits that solved this where applied afterwards.
