Gajim fails to start on fresh configuration
Gajim fails to start after I deleted ~/.config/gajim and ~/.local/share/gajim
Steps to reproduce
rm -rf ~/.config/gajim ~/.local/share/gajim ./launch.sh
$ ./launch.sh abort: no repository found in '/home/r/src/gajim/src' (.hg not found)! creating /home/r/.local/share/gajim directory creating /home/r/.config/gajim directory creating /home/r/.config/gajim/pluginsconfig directory creating logs database creating /home/r/.local/share/gajim/certs directory creating /home/r/.config/gajim/localcerts directory Traceback (most recent call last): File "gajim.py", line 532, in \<module> interface = Interface() File "/home/r/src/gajim/src/gui_interface.py", line 3013, in __init__ gajim.transport_type = gajim.logger.get_transports_type() File "/home/r/src/gajim/src/common/logger.py", line 854, in get_transports_type 'SELECT * from transports_cache') sqlite3.OperationalError: no such table: transports_cache
This is with the current gajim_0.16 branch.
OS version: Debian testing
GTK version: 2.24.28
PyGTK version: 2.24.0
Try to also remove ~/.cache/gajim
Ah, that did it :) thanks!
I can't seem to close my own issue here.
I'd still like to fix the problem by also deleting the cache.db and create a new one(anyway the data in it can't be ok as they refer to the logs.db ids). But I cannot reproduce the bug, are you able to?
Yes, I think I can. This seems to do it (with the current folder being Gajim's 0.16 branch):
$ rm -rf ~/.local/share/gajim ~/.config/gajim ~/.cache/gajim $ ./launch.sh $ # Quit Gajim $ rm -rf ~/.local/share/gajim ~/.config/gajim # leave the cache in place $ ./launch.sh <crash>
