make spreading/using Gajim easier
Hi folks,
Gajim is my absolute favorite jabber client - of course - and I suggest using it to other people. But even if s.o. wanna start testing it, it often fails due to the fact that there are no packages of the latest stable. Why I open this ticket is, because Debian Etch, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and Debian Lenny (what really sucks) have the old 0.11 release in the repos. The next Fedora and Ubuntu etc. release will contain Gajim 0.12, but people who care about stability (mainly people at work) use Debian or Ubuntu LTS. Those people don't wanna compile and look for packages Gajim depends on, they easily wanna use that better alternative.
So I think it is very important to provide binary Packages of the latest Stable for Debian Etch, Lenny and Ubuntu LTS. There is already the Nightly Build for Debian, so it's not much work to realize it.
Greetings
