gnome-keyring issue : gajim is trying to connect without password
I'm using gnome most of the time, with gnome-python-extras, my main password is stored with gnome-keyring. When I launch gajim for the first time of the session, gnome asks me the password to unlock the keyring. My jabber's account is configured in gajim : everything is fine, under gnome.
Now, I disconnect from gnome, and I login under another desktop, for example, fvwm. Then I launch gajim.
Gnome processes are not launched, then :
- the password to unlock the keyring is not asked at start
- it doesn't ask me for my account's main password Gajim doesn't warn me about this : there's no error. It currently tries to connect without any password, the server finally tells me that the identifiers are probably wrong, and I can't connect.
Gnome-settings-daemon is already launched, I tried to launch manually :
- /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon
- /usr/libexec/gnome-keyring-ask -k (to unlock the keyring)
- gajim
It changed nothing. Do you know which daemons must be launched to do this ? Is it possible to use gnome-keyring without gnome ? Here is a little list of processes which are launched at gnome start :
gnome-keyring-daemon
/usr/libexec/gconfd-2 11
gnome-keyring-daemon
gnome-session
/usr/bin/dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 4 --print-address 6 --session
/usr/bin/dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session
/usr/bin/ssh-agent -- gnome-session
/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon
/usr/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon
/usr/bin/metacity --sm-client-id=default0
gnome-panel --sm-client-id default1
nautilus --no-default-window --sm-client-id default2
/usr/libexec/bonobo-activation-server --ac-activate --ior-output-fd=16
/usr/libexec/gnome-vfs-daemon
/usr/libexec/gam_server
/usr/libexec/mapping-daemon
gnome-pty-helper
Does it need gnome-session ? Thanks.
