Google Summer Of Code (GSOC)

Thanks to the XSF Gajim participates in the Google Summer Of Code. Here we present the results of previous GSOC events and ideas we have for future GSOCs.

2012-today

  • No projects

2011

  • Jefry Lagrange (jef) implemented Stream Management (XEP-0198) and improved Jingle File Transfer (XEP-0234), in particular the ability for the sender to connect to the recipient (see his blog)

2010

  • Zhenchao Li (fantasticsid) worked on File Transfer over Jingle (XEP-0234) and encrypted transfer

2009

  • Anaël Verrier (elghinn) implemented Server-side history (XEP-0136) and roster versioning (XEP-0237)
  • Jeff Ling started to work on a whiteboard implementation

2008

  • Tomas Karasek (Tomk) implemented BOSH support (see BOSH or his blog)
  • Mateusz Biliński (Vardo) worked on a plugin system

2007

  • Tomasz Melcer (Liori) worked on Jingle Audio
  • Brendan Taylor (bct) implemented encrypted sessions

2006

  • Tomasz Melcer (Liori) implemented support for Ad-hoc commands
