zeroconf bonjour local not displaying linux user name correctly on windows roster. link-local messaging

Please first check if another issue has been opened for your problem

Versions

  • OS: Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 8.1
  • Gajim version: (Ubuntu, from git:) 1.0.3 , (Windows:) Gajim-Portable-Master-64bit-2018-05-24 (bonjour64 3.1.0.1)
  • GTK+ Version: 3.22.30 (ubuntu)
  • PyGObject Version: 3.26.1 (ubuntu)
  • python-nbxmpp Version: 0.6.6 (ubuntu)

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. create a Local account on both a windows gajim and linux gajim (bonjour/avahi)
  2. modify the local account profile, set First name field on both windows and linux
  3. restart the clients on both windows and linux

Expected behavior

I noticed something new, for Local account, in account management you can click into Local, and modify the Profile, and set the First Name field.

I set the First Name Field on both the Windows(Jennie) and Linux(Cody) users Profiles.

On Linux the Roster looks correct and displays the user as "Jennie"

On Windows the Roster does not seem to make use of the profile Name, it still displays "xekon@xekon-pc" it should be displaying "Cody"

I have tried restarting both the windows and linux clients multiple times, as well as changing the name multiple times. The windows computer never shows them by the name set in profile.

I do not know if its that windows code is not setting the display right, or if its linux code not sending the data to windows right.

This is not a functionality issue, merely a cosmetic one I noticed this morning while bug testing.

Actual behavior

On Windows the Roster does not seem to make use of the profile Name, it still displays "xekon@xekon-pc" it should be displaying "Cody"
