gajim-nightly builds for debian/ubuntu not updated since August
Hello Gajim-Developers!
I am using gajim on Ubuntu 16.04 and … for reasons … I tend to keep python packages updated via pip.
Therefore, I recently ran into #8788 (closed) and was delighted to see that it was fixed very rapidly. Thx for that!
Now I was wondering, why the gajim on my machine was still not starting up …
which is where I realized that I have the gajim-nightly
package installed from the debian repo
deb ftp://ftp.gajim.org/debian unstable main
as is described in the "Download" section on your website.
However, the gajim-nightly
package was built in August (2017-08-14) – thus cannot include the fix for the mentioned issue.
Nonetheless, there is a gajim-default-nightly
package in that repo which was updated very recently. Are users supposed to install gajim-default-nightly
instead of gajim-nightly
– in contrast to the description of the "Download" section?
Is the fact that gajim-nightly
was not built recently an error of some form?
