Expand --help
Here is a prototype for --help
which was copied from the Whaaw! Media Player (whaawmp) project, which is written by the British translator of Gajim, Jeff Bailes.
Since I did not find -h, --help show this help message and exit
in whaawmp
code, I assume this is provided by Python.
I do not know what default=False
is, so we may need to remove it.
def addOptions(self):

# Print debug information.
self.parser.add_option("-v", "--verbose", dest="verbose",
action="store_true", default=False,
help=_("Print XML stanzas and other debug information"))
# Set the log level.
self.parser.add_option("-l", "--loglevel", dest="loglevel",
default=None, metavar="subsystem=level",
help=_("Configure logging system"))
# Set profile.
self.parser.add_option("-p", "--profile", dest="profile",
default=None, metavar="name",
help=_("Use config.name in configuration directory"))
# Set the configuration diirectory.
self.parser.add_option("-c", "--config-path", dest="config-path",
default=None, metavar="directory",
help=_("Set configuration diirectory"))
