Cannot send file from Windows 7
Bug description
From a Windows 7 computer, I can receive files from my contacts but I cannot send files. On Windows XP, both sending and receiving work.
Steps to reproduce
- On the Windows 7 computer, try to send a file to a contact;
- On the contact computer, accept the file transfer and choose a location to save the file;
- On both computers, the file transfer dialog appears but remains stuck at 0%.
Additional information
- Wireshark shows incoming TCP requests from the contact computer to port 28011 on the Win7 computer. Those requests are refused as if the port was closed;
- Nmap shows port 28011 to be closed on the Win7 computer (this is different from ports that are blocked by the firewall: those appear "filtered");
- According to private firewall, gajim is listening on TCP port 28011;
- According to the netstat utility that comes with xampp, nobody is listening on TCP port 28011;
- I have tried to configure Apache to listen on port 28011 and it works, which confirms that the firewall is not filtering that port;
- The behaviour is the same whether I tell private firewall to be fully open or filtering.
Software versions
- OS version: Windows 7
- Gajim version: 0.15-
- GTK+ version: 2.24.10
- PyGTK version: 2.24.0
