Review of server certificates by the user
Today, I tried to connect to my jabber server with a certificate signed by my own CA, providing a custom hostname in the account settings, which did not match the one for which the certificate is valid (the account hostname matches the certificate).
As expected, Gajim issued a warning upon connection: SSL Error: Unable to verify the first certificate
However, that's not very meaningful... Which certificate is the "first" one? Is it the "end" certificate not matching the domain (which would be wrong program behavior; Pidgin does this right) or the CA not being in the chain?
What I'm trying to say is that messages should be more precise. There is also no option to manually review the certificate or to add root CAs, or even to view the error message again without (re)connecting.
