Accounts: Login settings not accessible
Versions
- OS: Fedora 32
- Gajim version: 1.1.3-5.fc32
- GTK version: 3.24.24-1.fc32
- Python-nbxmpp version: 0.6.10-5.fc32
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Create an account
- Right click new account
- Manage
- Try to change the password
Expected behavior
There is a clear indication where password settings are stored. There is a clear way to access it.
Actual behavior
There is no indication of where the password is stored at all.
The user can an association that it might be together with login, but then a couple of things happen to make it harder to discover:
- it's not clear if "login" is a button like the fields below
- it's not clear if "login" is an inactive entry like the "label" field above
- if it's taken to be a field, then it seems reasonable to click on the text on the right to modify it. However, that does not do anything (red frame in screenhot) (I almost gave up at this point)
- clicking the green-frame area but NOT the red-frame area brings up the login dialog
I think this stems from those root problems:
- form fields are mixed with buttons in the same list
- "login" tries to be both a label and a button
