Versions
- OS: xUbuntu 19.10
- Gajim version: 1.1.3+a66b293d
- GTK version: 3.24.12
- Python-nbxmpp version: 0.6.10
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Receive a Google Maps link, e.g.
https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.google.de/maps/place/Burgermeister%2BZoo/@52.5058539,13.3317408,3a,75y,90t/data%3D!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipMM5S-h2kLpObXv4N0Uenn65OSMpiw8QiBu9L2Y!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%252F%252Flh5.googleusercontent.com%252Fp%252FAF1QipMM5S-h2kLpObXv4N0Uenn65OSMpiw8QiBu9L2Y%253Dw203-h125-k-no!7i6338!8i3920!4m5!3m4!1s0x47a851c03cf6ec27:0xca16cee90c75d0f1!8m2!3d52.5058946!4d13.3317147&sa=D&source=hangouts&ust=1583692934225000&usg=AFQjCNFPc_AMvhuTKh0aLnM1ZBWsIzobWA
- Click the link
Expected behavior
Link should open in browser, because https:// .
Actual behavior
URL gets prefixed with "mailto:" (probably because it contains an @
), gets opened in Firefox which then opens Thunderbird and a "compose mail" window. Also right-clicking in Gajim shows options like "Copy JID/Email", "Open Email Composer" and such. Not the usual "Copy Link Location" and "Open Link in Browser".
