After login, when Gajim is launched, it asks again for a password via
gnome-keyring, because Gajim' passwords are stocked into
~/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring instead of ~/.gnome2/keyrings/login.keyring.
Don't know if this bug happens in a Gnome session by the way, only tested on
other sessions, like Openbox, Wmaker, etc... but all my contacts have this
bugs.
I give you the fix further in this report, which is OK for me.
# Steps to reproduce
1. login in your session (activate the normal keyring)
2. launch Gajim (with already created accounts and passwords)
# Potential fix
There is the bugfix : in /usr/share/gajim/src/common/passwords.py file, at line
66 (for me) "self.keyring = 'default'", change "default" by "login" like this :
"self.keyring = 'login'"

Programming Error when avatar is detached.
# Steps to reproduce
Works with PNG, SVG or any other image format which can and has a transparent background.
[1] Hover the cursor on the avatar
[2] Make sure that when the avatar is bigger the cursor would not hit the visible area of the avatar.
Hover the cursor (without touching the visible areas of the avatar) to the window "title-bar" and start moving the window.
The avatar is still at the same place in the background (you can immediately hover the cursor on the visible areas of the avatar and the larger avatar will be gone).
Keep it that way for a minute or two.
Hover the cursor on the visible areas of the avatar.

# Steps to reproduce
1. Join a groupchat.
2. Press Tab a fraction of a second later. You have to catch the moment when the groupchat window appears, but before the list of participants is filled.

Exception:
Traceback (most recent call last):

Note that in case I enter latin characters, text input area gets focused. When text input area is focused, I can enter cyrillic characters normally.
The exception is not blocking, I can continue typing after closing the dialog window with the stack trace above.
# Steps to reproduce
Open chat area, set focus to chat area, enter non-latin (cyrillic) character.

When clicking on an IM client's systray icon, the expected behaviour is usually hiding the roster window; however, in Gajim, the roster window merely becomes iconified/minimized.
I don't know whether this is the way you want it to be or whether it's just something nobody cared about until now, but to me, it's quite annoying since I always hide IM clients by clicking on their tray icons.
It's in line 366 of statusicon.py in the latest hg repo version; win.iconify() should be replaced by win.hide(), quite obviously.

As the height of displays is not equal there empty rectangle under second display - the WM handles it right (maximized window fits to visible space).
The problem occurs when roster status combo (or message window's "advanced options" combo) is placed at the bottom of smaller display (just above the "invisible" part). When I click the combo it opens in the visible part but its contents are placed below, combo becomes scrollable and I have to scroll down to see the contents (screenshot attached).

When adding entries to a privacy list the order should be automatically increased depending on how many entries exist already.
# Steps to reproduce
Create a privacy list.
Add an entry to that list, it will be "order: 1".
Add another entry, gajim will try to save it as order: 1 as well.

The fact is that after recently updating Gajim from SVN (several minutes ago, but this still exist), it asks for password only the first time I run it. Seahorse's traicon reports "Unknown key: ANSIENTTRANSIENT". If I quit gajim and run it again, no password is required and "ansienttransient" key appears.
I understand that passwords are kept using seahorse but what's about that unknown key? Why doesn't it ask me for authorisation (i cleared cached passwords/keys before running gajim)?
After I cleared passwords from seahorse's database, gajim (seahorse?) asked me for everything and seahorse's traicon contained my key. I closed gajim, cleared seahorse cache form trayicon and run gajim again. This time no questions and that "ansienttransient" key. A week (or so) ago I had to enter my password each time I run gajim.
I haven't changed seahorse preferences, so this changed behavior could be because of gajim.https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/-/issues/3924Join a chatroom with iconset balloons problem2017-12-11T16:38:59ZanonymousJoin a chatroom with iconset balloons problemHello,
