How to make Gajim connect to the GPG agent so it could pick up the GPG key password from the cache?
My current GPG config on my Debian Sid Linux works well. When I type the password for my private GPG key to unlock it, the GPG agent is able to cache the password for 1h. Many apps, like git
, psi
, enigmail
work well and they don't ask me for the pass during the 1h period -- I just type it once (I have default-cache-ttl 3600
set in gpg-agent.conf
file).
For some reason Gajim wants me to type the GPG key password each time when I log into my jabber account. The account's password was added to kwallet
and I don't have to type it anymore. There's an option in the Gajim settings (under Gajim>Accounts>Preferences) called Use PGP agent
. I don't know whether it's the same as GPG agent (it should be), but when I try to switch it on, it switches, but each time I restart Gajim, it's set back to off.
So the question is: how to make Gajim connect to the GPG agent so it could pick up the GPG key password from the cache?
